Praia do Forte is the most central and busiest beach in Cabo Frio.

It is a beach with over 8 km of sand that runs continuously to Arraial do Cabo.

This sand has several names, depending on the neighborhood it borders. In the center it is known as Praia do Forte, but a few kilometers later it is called Praia das Dunas and, later, Praia do Foguete, on the border with the neighboring city. In Arraial it is Praia do Pontal.

Praia do Forte, then, bathes part of the center of Cabo Frio, and, because of this, it is very well served by services, with a boardwalk full of bars, restaurants, hotels, stalls, etc.
